If you wrote a song about your love life, what would the title be? Write the first verse.

There is a reason I'm not a song writer. I'm awful at it. This song came out more as a poem and I am convinced it would sound nothing short of cringe worthy if actually sung. It's bad enough as a poem. It's about Zach, Sophie, and Sam though, because those three have my whole heart; they're my love life.

He had blond hair, green eyes
The second we started dating I knew I’d won the prize
He is my best friend
And with me until the end

You are my world, so foreign and new
In just a matter of months you’ll be all I ever knew
So be kind to my heart and treat it well
This is my love life in a nutshell

She had blond hair, blue eyes
The moment I saw her I thought I’d won the prize
When her little fingers wrapped around my thumb
A tear rolled down my cheek as I whispered, “welcome”

You are my world, so foreign and new
In just a matter of months you’ll be all I ever knew
So be kind to my heart and treat it well
This is my love life in a nutshell

He had brown hair, brown eyes
I can truly say that was a surprise
You’re everything a little boy should be
You will always mean the world to me

You are my world, so foreign and new
In just a matter of months you’ll be all I ever knew
So be kind to my heart and treat it well
This is my love life in a nutshell

Name the top ten things on your bucket list.

I couldn't choose just ten, so I threw in an extra one.

1. Buy a house (or build one)
2. Have a decent sized family
3. Travel the world
4. Make friends wherever I go
5. Be happy
6. Own a cabin
7. Serve as many people as I can
8. Be able to give each one of my kids a decent savings whether it be for a mission, school, a wedding, whatever. (With this, teach my kids to be good savers themselves.)
9. Live simply
10. Learn a language
11. Learn how to take a decent picture

While at the beach you decide to write a message in a bottle. What would it say? Who would you like to find it?

I thought long and hard about this question as silly as that may seem. It got me thinking and eventually I came up with four options after stewing about what I'd like to find if I ever came across such a thing myself. My four options boiled down to this:

One,  my testimony. I decided that if I ever came across a message in a bottle, that seeing someone else's testimony would be something that had more chance of impacting me than some silly message. For that reason, this became one of my two options.

Second, as cheesy as it may sound, I think I'd write a letter telling whoever found it how special they were. I think people can tend to forget that these days and I don't blame them. With over 7 billion people in the world it can be easy to feel like your just another person.

Third, money. Even if it was just a dollar, but who doesn't love finding an extra dollar in a hidden place?

Fourth, a picture of myself or my family. I think that would be neat to find, especially if it was old, and even if it wasn't I think it would make me curious about the person and what kind of life they had.

Maybe if I got lucky I'd be able to cram all of them into the bottle. I guess in the end my testimony has strengthened my self worth and how I see myself and others. Maybe I could condense that down into one thing. I don't know. In the end, I wouldn't care who found it. Everyone deserves a little pick me up once in a while.
